Ferozepur, January 21, 2021: The police solved a murder case that was reported on.January 4 and arrested five persons, said SSP Bhupinder Singh to the media persons in a press meet.
On January 4, the Ferozepur based Chetan Doomra, 32 was murdered by firing by four persons who had come on Fortune vehicle at Jandi Mohalla, when he was back to home with his family members.
The police after making in-depth investigation have solved the murder mystery with the arrest of five accused with two country-made pistols, 5 live cartridges and the vehicle used during the incident.
SSP Bhupinder Singh said that a Special Investigating Team – SIT was constituted, under the tutelage of Balvir Singh SP along with Barinder Gill DSP(City), Ravinder Pal Singh DSP, Jagdish Kumar DSP(PBI), SHO local and CIA incharge.
Sajan alias Mali, Sahil alias Tiddi, Charanplal Singh alias Suti, Surjit alias Mithan and Vicky alias Sundi was arrested near village Khai Pheme Ki rivers. On searching one country pistol from Sajan and one from Sahil with 5 live cartridges were recovered beside the vehicle PB-10EH-8100, used in the incident, said SSP.
During the preliminary the investigation, it has come on the surface that Sajan alias Mali had an old enmity with Nitin Chuch resident of Housing Board colony and on the day of the incident, the alleged accused got the information that Nitin Chuch is roaming in the city in vehicle No.PB-05A-8023 Hyundai Accent, who had to murder Nitin Chuch but on that day Chetan Doomra was travelling with his family in that car. The alleged accused murdered with firing on Chetan Doomra and fled away from the scene, he said.
SSP said, the shortly the remaining accused involved in this murder case will be nabbed shortly. Meanwhile, the arrested accused who are also figuring in more murder cases in the different police station will be produced in the court to get remand for further investigations.
