Ferozepur, July 24, 2020: Since the relaxation in lockdown, the Corona positive cases graph is in the upward trend at the global level and in India too, there had been 45,720 positive cases in a single day.
In this small border town Ferozepur, today 17 more Corona positive cases – 3 female, 14 male – have been reported and as per media reports, these include the frontline workers – seven CID and three bank officials – and the total tally of positive cases reach to 111. All are in the age group of 20-57. The CID officials are in the age group of 25-57 years and those in the bank are between 26-34 years.
Since the outbreak of coronavirus, 269 positive cases have been found. While 153 have since been cured and discharged, there had also been five deaths in the district. Simultaneously, there had also been a recovery of 31 positive patients. All the active positive cases are either home quarantined or in the Isolation Wards under treatment of the health department.
In view of daily increase in the Corona positive cases in the district, the district administration and Health department have, however, made an appeal to the citizens to wear masks, maintain social distancing and ensure hand Wash/ use sanitizer to fight and protect from Corona.
