Industry thanks Punjab Government for providing single platform to hire manpower during Covid-19 pandemic
Chandigarh, December 20: A Felicitation-cum-Interaction ceremony was organized virtually with the students, who were selected during the high end job fair December, 2020. The Punjab Employment Generation and Technical Education Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi congratulated the students for their successful placements in the MNCs and encouraged them to become a role model for the Youth of Punjab by sharing their success stories. The selected students joined the event virtually and thanked the Punjab Government for oraganizing Virtual High End Fair 2020 for facilitating job opportunities to youth and expressed their happiness.
Interacting with the players of Top MNCs which included Microsoft, HCL and BYJUS etc the cabinet Minister also appreciated the for participation and providing jobs during in the Virtual High End Job Fair despite of Covid-19 pandemic, organised by Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training under Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission, in which candidates with salary packages of INR 3.5 LPA to INR 12 LPA got selected.
The Minister requested all the companies’ representatives to share their recruitment of vacancies on the Ghar Ghar Rozgar web portal of the in future also for which the Government of Punjab will extend full cooperation.
The representatives of who participated in the virtual session included Ms. Sonia Sahgal – (University Recruitment Leader – Microsoft), Mr. Ashish Bhalla – (Head Campus Relations,HCL) and Mr. Sachin Girdhar– (Recruitment Manager BYJUS) . The leaders of the top MNCs shared their views and thanked the Punjab government for providing them a single platform by organizing such an event for recruitment of youth of Punjab during the Covid -19 pandemic situation.
Sh. Harpreet Singh Sudan- IAS,Director, Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training cum MD PGRKAM while participating in the event said that appreciation certificates to the companies and students has been sent.
