“MISSION EDUCATION” BEGINS IN PUNJAB, SCHOOL EDUCATION MINISTER PAYS SURPRISE VISIT IN NANGAL SCHOOLS

To bring the education reforms in the state, the work has been started vigorously to fulfill the promise of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for providing qualitative education to the students.
Giving fillip to this initiative, the School Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains continuously visiting government schools. Embarking on “Mission Education”, the Education Minister, on Monday, visited various educational institutions of the Nangal region, which included Government Elementary School Nangal, Government Primary Smart School Gambhirpur Lower and other educational institutions in the vicinity of the town.
Acquainting with the students and teachers, he said, the promise of the Punjab Chief Minister to provide quality education, made with the people of the state will be fulfilled soon. Emphasizing on education reforms during his school visits, the cabinet minister said that students are the future of our country. “If students get excellent atmosphere in schools, only then the understanding of the children will be constructive and they will be able to compete in today’s era besides progressing in the life”, said the Minister adding that it is utmost important to have a apposite educational environment for the students and it is our primary duty to provide a suitable environment.
The Cabinet Minister gauged the level of education by interacting with the students, while also listening to the problems of the students and teachers. He enjoyed tables and poems recited by the students, observed various activities and answered the queries of the students. On asking the students and teachers about the required facilities, the minister assured all possible support. He also said that he will make efforts to construct a new building for Government Elementary School, Nangal.
Mr. Harjot Singh Bains reiterated that educational institutions of Punjab will be developed as model educational institutions and government schools will compete with convent and model schools.
