Chandigarh, September 6:
Taking another initiative towards restoring the dignity of teachers, Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Wednesday has launched the ‘Teacher of the Week’ campaign in government schools of the state.
Disclosing this here today, the School Education Minister said that the teachers of government schools are working indefatigably for the betterment of the school besides imparting top-class education to the children. He said that it is also essential to uphold the dignity of the teachers.
The School Education Minister said that aim of this campaign is to encourage the teachers to work more diligently to further uplift the standards of the education in the state and to get rewarded.
Mr Bains said that this award will be given to the teachers on the basis of the performance of the last week in primary, middle and senior secondary schools.
