• 154 principals already given letter of appointment and stations of choice
Chandigarh, August 28:
Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla today handed over appointment letters to 11 newly-appointed Principals in the School Education Department.
Addressing the newly appointed PES Group-A employees during a brief program at his office here at Punjab Civil Secretariat, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla exported them to discharge their responsibilities diligently and honestly.
Mr. Singla said that the state government was committed to provide maximum employment opportunities to the youth of the state. “The Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has recently announced that fulfilling the election promise, more than 6 lakh jobs would be provided to the youth soon, out of which 1 lakh jobs would be in the government sector”, said the Minister, adding that the process for the selection for these jobs has been started and next month state level employment fairs for more than 90,000 jobs would be organized in all districts.
Candidates Meena Bharti, Nisha Bansal, Bharat Bhushan, Bipan Kumar, Randeep Singh, Gurmeet Kaur, Deepak Kumar, Geetanjali, Dinesh Verma, Asshu Singh and Duryodhan Gurdial Singh are waiting list candidates, while 154 candidates for the posts of Principals have already been given appointment letters and station of their choice. All candidates have been selected by Punjab Public Service Commission, Patiala in PES Group-A (Schools and Inspection) Cadre through direct recruitment in the School education department.
