Ferozpur, January 18:School Education Minister Punjab Mr. Vijay Inder Singla felicitated winners of ‘Ambassadors of Hope’ belonging to Ferozpur district with Laptops and Android Tablet during a brief ceremony at Ludhiana in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
Apart from congratulating the winners, Mr. Singla assured them every possible help in achieving their future goals.Notably, Mehekdeep Kaur and Sandeep Singh, class 10 students of Government Senior Secondary School Mana Singh Wala have been awarded with two laptops while Parneet Kaur, also a class 10 student of SSM Senior Secondary School, who stood second in the district, was also given a laptop. Meanwhile, Ishmeet Kaur, a class 8 student of DC Model Senior Secondary School has been felicitated with an Android tablet. However, as many as 1,685 entries were registered from Ferozpur district.
The winners overwhelmingly thanked Mr. Vijay Inder Singla for organizing such an interesting and wonderful competition during lockdown.While giving away the prizes, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that besides breaking the world record in eight days, the ‘Ambassadors of Hope’ competition has successfully served its purpose by nurturing skills of students in a positive manner.Divulging further details, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that as many as 1,05,898 school going students have shared their videos in eight days for ‘Ambassadors of Hope’, the campaign which was launched for students of Punjab to share their creativity during lockdown. He categorically said, “Winners have been selected strictly on merit basis.”The Cabinet Minister said that apart from a total 66 main prizes, as many as 1000 consolation prizes were also being given to the winners in all 22 districts under the ‘Ambassadors of Hope’.
