WON’T RAID, RATHER WILL VISIT TO EVERY SCHOOL FOR ASSESSING GROUND REALITY & IMPROVEMENT: HARJOT SINGH BAINS

Adhering to the directions of Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann to uplift the standard of the school education in the state, Education Minister Mr. Harjot Singh Bains, on Wednesday, held a marathon interaction with the state and district coordinators of ‘Padho Punjab-Padhao Punjab’ and ‘Smart School campaign’ and other teachers. While the Minister exhorted the coordinators to work more dedicatedly, he also assured to solve their problems.
Addressing gathering in the auditorium of Punjab School Education Board, the Minister urged that on priority, schools must have basic facilities such as toilets, electricity, water, benches, walls, etc. “My priority is to ensure imparting of quality education to the students in the schools”, he said, adding that as Education Minister, “I will not conduct raids in the schools, but will pay visit to examine the ground reality”.
He said that our primary concern is to train our teachers from the best institutions in foreign countries for imparting world-class training, for which provision has also been made in the recent budget. He said that there is a need to improve the policies of the education department and he has already initiated various steps in this direction. He also listened to the views and suggestions of the coordinators and other teachers.
