Chandigarh, May 22:
Dr. Baljit Kaur, the Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minority, held a high-level meeting with senior officials of the department regarding the issue of fake certificates of Scheduled Castes in Punjab State.
During the meeting, representatives of various organizations brought to the Minister’s attention the widespread occurrence of people in the state using fake certificates of Scheduled Castes to secure high-level positions.
The Minister attentively listened to the representatives and directed the department’s officers to address all complaints received by the Vigilance Cell by conducting weekly meetings.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur instructed district officials to promptly send investigation reports on pending complaints at the district level.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minority, Ramesh Kumar Genta; Director of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minority Department, Davinder Singh; Director-cum-Joint Secretary of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minority Department, Raj Bahadur Singh; as well as various representatives of organizations, including Lakhvir Singh, Sarabjit Singh, and Harnek Singh were present.
