- Recognizing dedication, DIG Sidhu continues his commitment to police welfare

In a significant move to boost the morale of police personnel, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Patiala Range, Mandeep Singh Sidhu, promoted 727 police personnel across Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, and Malerkotla districts on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami.
Announcing the promotions, DIG Sidhu stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav, the Punjab Police remains committed to maintaining security and peace. He emphasized that while promotions are granted periodically, receiving them on a festive occasion makes the achievement even more special.
Among those promoted today; 23 personnel were elevated from Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) to Sub-Inspector (SI), 132 personnel were promoted from Head Constable to ASI and 572 personnel were promoted from Constable to Head Constable. Congratulating the promoted personnel and their families, DIG Sidhu expressed hope that they would continue serving the public with dedication and adherence to the law.
It is noteworthy that DIG Sidhu has been consistently taking steps for the welfare of police personnel. Earlier, on New Year’s Day, he promoted 126 constables, including 73 from Patiala, 18 from Sangrur, 10 from Barnala, 6 from Malerkotla, and 19 from GRP.
