Chandigarh, May 22
The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is continuously striving for the development and progress of the state. To fulfill this purpose, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Baljit Kaur, Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities, at Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 in Chandigarh to discuss the construction of the Department of Social Justice Building-cum-Convention Center in Mohali.
During the meeting, the Cabinet Minister provided additional information and stated that various important initiatives were discussed, including the construction of the Department of Social Justice Building-cum-Convention Center in Mohali. This building will serve as a focal point for administrative activities and convention functions, contributing to the overall development and progress of the state.
The Minister further informed that the proposed construction will include the office building and convention center, housing the offices of the Director of Social Justice, Director of SCSP, SC Corporation, BC Corporation, SC Commission, BC Commission, and Punjab State Sanitary Workers Commission. Additionally, it is proposed to feature a large statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a museum, conference hall, auditorium, library, canteen, and guest house.
The Minister emphasized that the aim of the Punjab Government is to create an environment conducive to progress, empowerment and social justice. These initiatives reflect the unwavering commitment of the Government to uplift marginalized sections of society and promote equality. The construction of the Department of Social Justice Building-cum-Convention Center in Mohali marks another important step towards achieving these objectives.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minority, Ramesh Kumar Genta, Director of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minority Department, Davinder Singh, Director-cum-Joint Secretary of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minority Department, Raj Bahadur Singh, AS Tiwana from the Housing and Urban Development Department Gamada, and Senior Architect Saroj were specially present.
