Chandigarh, September 13
UT reported a corona blast on Sunday with the city recording the highest ever 449 fresh cases on a single day in addition to one more death due to the infection.
With this, the death toll has risen to 90 and total COVID case load to 7991 including 2728 active cases.
According to a medical bulletin issued here on Sunday, a 56 year old male r/o Sector 47, a known case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, tested COVID positive, expired at Sector 48 Hospital on Sunday.
The new cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 306 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic as per MoHFW guidelines.
