Permanent Camp for C-PYTE centre to be set up at Asal Uttar, District Tarn Taran
· Free online coaching scheme for government jobs for Punjab youth to be inaugurated
· ‘Mera Kaam, Mera Maan’ scheme for construction workers and their children will also be launched

The Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training, Punjab has been working tirelessly to provide employment to the youth. The foundation stone of various schemes running under the department would be inaugurated by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on September 9 through video conferencing.
Disclosing this here today Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi, Minister for Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training said that the schemes which are to be launched and inaugurated by the Chief Minister included laying of foundation stone of a permanent camp for C-Pite centre, which is being set up at Asal Utaar (near the memorial of Abdul Hamid, Indo-Pakistan War 1965) in Tarn Taran district. The main objective of this institute is to impart pre-selection training to the educated unemployed youth of Punjab for recruitment in the Army / Paramilitary Forces besides imparting technical training in various occupations to enhance their skills. He said that the rural unemployed, poor and Scheduled / Backward Class youth were getting maximum benefit by getting training under this programme. He said that free food and accommodation was provided to the youth during the training. With the establishment of this camp the youth of Tarn Taran district would be able to shine the name of the state after receiving training.
He said that for the establishment of this camp 8 acres 7 kanals of land of Gram Panchayat Asal Uttar has been transferred to the Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training.
Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi said that under the second scheme which would be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, free online coaching would be provided to the youth of Punjab for government (state / central) jobs. He said that this scheme was implemented with an amount of Rs. 1 crore being provided by HPCL Mittal Energy Limited, Bathinda under Corporate Social Responsibility. Under this scheme graduate youth of Punjab can get free coaching. Tenth-twelfth pass youths can also get free coaching if the minimum desired qualification for the competitive examination is tenth-twelfth pass. The coaching course will be run keeping in view the various competitive examinations. The duration of the course will be 4 months .
Mr. Channi said that in addition to this ‘Mera Kaam, Mera Maan’ scheme would be launched for the year 2021-22 for the construction workers and their children. Under this scheme training would be imparted in the centers under PSDM and Rs. 2500 per month employment assistance allowance would be given during the training for one year.
