Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday mourned the sad demise of General Secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist) Sitaram Yechury, who passed away in New Delhi today.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that he is pained to learn about the death of the veteran Communist leader and former Rajya Sabha Member, who worked relentlessly for the welfare and upliftment of the poor, weaker and downtrodden sections of the society till his last breath.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, relatives and friends, Bhagwant Singh Mann prayed to the Almighty to give strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
