Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renowned Agri-economist Dr MS Swaminathan.
In a message, the Chief Minister described the death of MS Swaminathan as passing of an era in the field of Agriculture science. He said that the valuable contribution of Dr Swaminathan in this field will be ever recalled by one and all till eternity. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that with the death of eminent Agriculture scientist, a void has been created that is unlikely to be filled in near future.
Sharing his sympathies with the bereaved family members, the Chief Minister said that death of Dr Swaminathan is a whopping loss for the nation. Bhagwant Singh Mann prayed to God to grant eternal peace to departed soul and strength to aggrieved family for bearing this irreparable loss.
