Patiala, June 29:
Twelve meritorious students from Patiala district, who delivered exceptional performances in the NEET 2025 examination, were honoured by Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for their academic excellence.
This special felicitation ceremony was organised to acknowledge the perseverance and dedication of students who, despite studying in government schools, achieved remarkable success in one of the country’s most competitive medical entrance exams. District Education Officer (Secondary Education), Patiala, Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, said that this accomplishment is a testament to the high-quality education being imparted in government schools under the guidance of Punjab Education Minister Mr. Harjot Singh Bains. He added that the achievements of these students would serve as a powerful source of motivation for others.
Deputy DEO Dr. Ravinderpal Sharma shared that the students’ preparation was supported through regular mock tests, doubt-clearing sessions, and psychological counselling conducted at the government level. He also highlighted that Patiala district had shown exemplary performance in NEET last year as well, and that the positive trend has continued this year.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann congratulated the students on their success and extended his best wishes for their future academic pursuits. He also lauded the efforts of their parents, teachers, and school staff who played a crucial role in guiding them toward this success.
District Nodal Incharge and Physics Lecturer Mr. Daulat Ram shared the names of the honoured students: Pawas Garg and Pranav Sharma from Multipurpose School; Gazalpreet Kaur and Armaan from NTC Rajpura; Ekjot Singh and Priya Kumari from School of Eminence, Phialkhana; Saloni Chauhan from GSSS OPL Patiala; Tanya Chauhan from GSSS Victoria Patiala; Harsimran Kaur and Gurleen Kaur from GSSS Seona; Abhinav from GSSS Civil Lines; and Anuva from GSSS New Power House Colony, Patiala. Notably, Pawas Garg secured the first rank across Punjab.
The parents expressed their appreciation for the recognition, stating that such ceremonies uplift students’ morale and inspire other children to strive for excellence. Present on the occasion were Assistant Director Jaswinder Kaur, District Mentor Principal Mandeep Kaur Antal, Principals Sandeep Kumar and Ramandeep Kaur, and District Media Coordinator Rajinder Singh Channi, all of whom shared in the celebrations and conveyed their congratulations.
