Two valiant soldiers from Punjab also attained martyrdom during the incident
Shares sympathies with the bereaved families of martyrs

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday expressed sadness and deep anguish over a tragic incident at Leh in which nine soldiers, including two from state, attained martyrdom.
In a statement, issued here today the Chief Minister said that these valiant heroes have attained martyrdom while discharging their duty to safeguard the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country. He said that unfortunately out of these nine martyrs two sons from Punjab including Ramesh Lal (Faridkot) and Taran Deep Singh from Bassi Pathana had also attained martyrdom. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is an irreparable loss for the country in general and for the distressed families in particular.
The Chief Minister extended his sympathies with the bereaved families of the brave a martyrs and said that Punjab government is with these families in this hour of grave crisis. He said that these martyrs displayed utmost dedication to perform their duty valiantly for defending country’s unity thereby upholding the glorious legacy of state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the supreme sacrifice of these martyrs will ever inspire their fellow soldiers and youngsters to perform their duties with far more devotion and commitment.
