Chandigarh, April 3
UT recorded one more death and as many as 310 fresh cases of coronavirus on Saturday. This has taken the death toll in Chandigarh to 382 while the case load has increased to 27,853.
There are now 3162 active cases of the pandemic, the highest number recorded in recent months.
According to a media bulletin issued here, a 74 year old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 40, a case of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, expired at GMSH 16.
The new cases of the infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 245 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
