Chandigarh, January 6
Coronavirus claimed one more life in Chandigarh on Wednesday when a 60-year old male succumbed to the infection. The city also reported 78 fresh cases of the pandemic during the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll has risen 323 while the caseload has risen to 20, 104. There are as many as 256 active cases of corona.
According to a media bulletin issued by the Administration, a 60-year-old COVID positive male R/o Mauli Jagran, a case of Diabetes, Mellitus and Hypertension has expired at PGIMER. New cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 61 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
