Chandigarh, August 27
UT reported two more deaths and as many as 188 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 43 and corona cases to 3564.
According to a medical bulletin released by the Administration, a 75-year-old male, r/o Sector-46, COVID positive on 24-8-2020 expired due to severe acute respiratory failure at GMCH-32 on
Wednesday. The second related to a 54 year-old male, r/o Sector-41, detected with high uncontrolled sugar COVID positive on 21-8-2020, who expired due to complex lung injury, respiratory failure and cardiac arrest at GMCH-32 on Thursday.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, 181 patients have been cured and discharged from city hospitals.
