Chandigarh, April 7, 2021:
The Chandigarh administration has changed the night curfew timings on Wednesday. As per the new orders, the night curfew will be imposed in the city from 10.30 pm to 5 am now.
Earlier, the timings for the same were 10 pm to 5 am. However, all restaurants/eating-places, hotels including food joints/courts in various malls falling within the jurisdiction of Chandigarh shall run only with 50% of their capacity and close by 10 pm. The last order for food can be accepted till 09:00 P.M.
The administration has extended the curfew timing by 30 minutes so that the owners of restaurants/hotels can reach their homes till 10.30 pm, said an official spokesperson of Chandigarh administration.
The district magistrate also ordered prohibition on non-essential movement of individuals or vehicles during the curfew hours. Anyone found roaming outside without any essential pupose will be booked under Section 188 of the IPC, said the fresh orders of District Magistrate, Mandip Singh Brar.
