Chandigarh, August 19, 2021: Chandigarh’s new DGP Parveer Ranjan took over as the DGP of Chandigarh on Thursday. While former DGP Sanjay Beniwal was given farewell with respect. Beniwal has been brought back from Chandigarh to Delhi on completion of his three-year term.
Former DGP Sanjay Beniwal AGMUT cadre IPS Parveer Ranjan was also the chief of the SIT formed in the Delhi riots when DGP Parveer Ranjan took charge in Chandigarh. At the same time, orders for the new posting of former Sanjay Beniwal have been kept pending. DGP Sanjay Beniwal was the DGP of Chandigarh since June 2018.
