Chandigarh, April 11
UT logged three more deaths and 402 fresh cases of coronavirus on Sunday as the surge in pandemic continued unabated in the city.
The number of active case of covid has increased to 3306. The death toll now stands at 299 while the caseload has risen to 3,09,055.
According to a medi bulletin issued here, a 46-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Kajheri, a case of Type-1 Respiratory Failure, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, expired at PGIMER. The second fatal case related to a 63-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 41, a case of Type-2 Respiratory Failure, Severe Acute Respiratory Infection, Bronchitis and Hypertension, who expired at GMCH 32. The third case was of a 73-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 45, a case of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Hypertension, expired at GMCH 32.
Meanwhile, A total of 357 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
