In a motivational speech at the Youth Festival at Doaba Group of Colleges, Mrs. Raj Lali Gill, Chairperson of the Punjab Women Commission, urged students and faculty to create a society that respects women, promotes equality, and fights against drug abuse. She emphasized the importance of good character in creating a safe and respectful community.
Mrs. Gill explained the work of the Punjab Women Commission, highlighting its role in protecting and advancing the rights of women and girls in Punjab. She encouraged students to be aware and take responsibility, reminding them that everyone plays a part in making their communities better. She urged young people to say no to drugs and support each other’s growth.
“Our youth have the power to shape a society that respects and protects everyone,” said Mrs. Gill. “With strong values and a dedication to fairness, we can create an environment that values the safety and dignity of women and girls. Let’s work together to end all forms of abuse and discrimination.”
She further added, “The utmost protection of women is our shared responsibility. We must ensure that women feel safe, respected, and supported in every part of society.” She motivated students to work toward a progressive, inclusive and drug-free Punjab.
