Galvanized party rank & file to ensure success in every electoral battle since 2017
Chandigarh, February 18, 2021 – The Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has emerged as the real Captain and undisputed leader of the State leading Congress party from the front and steering it to the victory in every electoral battle since 2017 thus stamping his class on every mission he has chosen to focus on. Captain Amarinder Singh would also be the face of the party in 2022 Assembly elections owing to his qualities of head and heart.
Disclosing this here today, the Cabinet Minister and Senior Congress leader S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that a leader is known by the qualities of inspiring leadership and galvanizing the common workers to put heart and soul into every task and Captain Amarinder Singh has amply demonstrated this quality which is clear from a string of electoral victories under his leadership.
Giving out facts, S. Randhawa said that yesterday’s thumping success in the Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council elections is yet another proof, if any is needed, of Captain Amarinder Singh’s growing stature as a visionary leader. “In the results declared yesterday, the Congress had won 1199 of the 1815 wards (municipal councils) and 281 of the 350 municipal corporation seats, with SAD trailing at 289 and 33, BJP at 38 and 20, and AAP at 57 and nine, while the remaining went largely to independents and BSP (K) and CPI winning in 13 and 12 wards respectively”, said the Congress leader adding that the Chief Minister by the dint of his charismatic leadership, also lead the Party to victory in four out of five by-elections to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha besides leading the party to win in by-election to the Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency in 2017.
Butteressing his arguments with more facts, S. Randhawa said that it was the awe inspiring leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh and his ability to connect with the masses that saw Congress getting past the two third majority mark in 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections apart from winning 8 Lok Sabha seats in 2019 and achieving success in the previous Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council polls also.
Pointing out further, the Cabinet Minister said that the Chief Minister also lead by example in the emergency situations such as COVID-19 pandemic, floods and now farmers protests and has displayed statesman like approach with regard to the above issues which explains why he is the only leader who has won hearts of all sections of state and done overall development.
The Chief Minister has also done remarkable work on the other fronts such as law and order, drug control, debt waiver of farmers, employment generation and ensuring hassle free and transparent Government services to the people with emphasis on online mode, stated S. Randhawa also adding that these successes are a precursor to the 2022 Assembly polls when the opposition parties who have always followed divisive agenda, would be completely wiped out.
