Solan 11 jan,2022-The Indian Public Schools’ Conference (IPSC) conferred the prestigious Gaur Hari Singhania Lifetime Achievement Award on Capt AJ Singh, Executive Director Pinegrove School Distt Solan HP at the 82nd (IPSC) Principals’ Conclave, held at The Doon School Dehradun on 10th January 2021.
The award was conferred in the presence of the Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt of India, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, online in an exemplary Closing Ceremony of the Conclave.
Capt AJ Singh is the Founding Headmaster and Director of Pinegrove School, Director St Soldier’s School Panchkula, was Chairperson of the IPSC and also a member of the Board of Governors of the CBSE.
The award was bestowed on Capt Singh for the fantastic work done in bringing Pinegrove School to a position and place of respect as it can stands today and for his efforts and contributions to the IPSC in particular and in the field of education, in general.
Capt AJ Singh, was a permanently commissioned officer in the Indian Army and resigned his commission prematurely, to pursue this noble path of Education. He has been he has been on the Executive Committee of the IPSC for about a decade and has worked selflessly in conducting or hosting IPSC/SGFI Tournaments, organising Conclaves, reframing the IPSC Byelaws, restarting IPSC Teacher Training Seminars and IPSC Student Conclaves. These initiatives are still continuing till date and are growing into becoming a tradition.
Capt Singh attributes this award to his mentors, teachers and IPSC Principals. It was destiny which made him change his course from being an Army Officer and becoming a Principal and has no regrets for the same. It was a special honour for him to receive this award in the presence of the Hon’ble Education Minister of the Govt of India, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
