Reiterates, state government made comprehensive arrangements to deal with any untoward situation

Punjab Transport and Rural Development and Panchayats Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar today visited the flood-affected areas of Patti to assess the ground situation and relief work.
Following the directions of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann, the Cabinet Minister along with Deputy Commissioner Tarn Taran Mrs. Baldeep Kaur and other district officials visited village Kott Budha, Muthianwala, Seeto Mah Jhugian, Radhalke, Bhangala, Toot, Jhugian Pir Baksh, Ram Singh Wala, Jhugian Natha Singh and Jhugian Noor Muhammad, Dumni Wala, Jalloke, Baowal, Bajhoke, Balladke, Rasoolpur, Talwandi Mohar Singh, Killa Patti, Bangla Rai, which were affected by torrential rains. He listened to the problems of the affected local folks, and instructed the officials to assist the affected people and farmers from all perspectives. The district administration was instructed to manage the drainage of rainwater from fields and residential areas on priority.
The Cabinet Minister urged the people not to panic as Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led government has made all necessary arrangements to deal with any situation of floods.
He said that the water level of the rivers and canals passing through district Tarn Taran is increasing due to the heavy rain in the plains and hilly areas for past few days, but the situation in district is completely under control and full vigilance is being exercised by the district administration. He assured the residents that the Punjab government is fully prepared to face any emergency.
Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Baldeep Kaur asked the residents to maintain vigilance and immediately inform on Flood Control Room No. 01852-224107, whenever they observe an increase in water level.
