Patiala, August 23:
The district administration on the directive of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and Local Bodies Minister Mr. Brahm Mahindra is fully committed for the over all development of the densely populated colonies situated outside the limits of Patiala Municipal Corporation.
Stating this Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Patiala, Dr. Preeti Yadav said that Mr. Brahm Mahindra, Cabinet Minister for Local Bodies had released a grant of Rs. 1 Crore for setting the development works in pace of Patiala Rural Constituency .
Dr. Preeti Yadav said that with this grant, the construction of roads including sewerage line in Ranjit Nagar and Vikas Colony including some areas of Deep Nagar which fall outside the limits of the Municipal Corporation, would be done under the guidance and direction of Cabinet Minister Mr. Brahm Mahindra. These development works are being executed by the Rural Development and Panchayat Department under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kumar Amit.
ADC (D) further said that works of streets and sewerage have been completed in Deep Nagar while laying sewerage pipeline in Ranjit Nagar has also been completed and construction of roads is being started here. While the main sewerage line has been laid at Vikas Colony and now the construction of roads will be started soon by completing sewerage lines in the streets. The work is being monitored by the Executive Engineer, Department of Panchayati Raj, Tejinder Singh Multani. He said that the remaining work in these colonies would be completed soon.
