The people of Ludhiana: ‘Punjab Banega Hero, iss baar 13-0’

I am the first Chief Minister of Punjab whom people call ‘Bai Ji’, people used to call the previous ones ‘Kaka Ji’ and ‘Raja Saheb’, this is the love of the people for me: CM Mann

‘Bittu te Raja Gappi, Jeetuga Sada Pappi’ – echoed in Mann’s road show

Mann appealed to the people – give us 13 LS seats of Punjab, we will recover every single penny of Punjab from the Centre and make Punjab ‘sone di chiri’ again

Mann government did unprecedented work in two years, Road Safety Force is an example of this – Ashok Parashar Pappi

Ludhiana/ Chandigarh, May 9

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday campaigned for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Ashok Parashar Pappi from Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency. Mann took out a mega roadshow in Jagraon and appealed to the people to make the Aam Aadmi Party win by 13-0 in these LS elections.

People who reached the roadshow raised slogans in favour of the victory of the Aam Aadmi Party by 13-0, ‘Punjab Banega Hero, iss baar 13-0’. People also raised slogans against BJP candidate Ravneet Bittu and Congress candidate Raja Warring in the roadshow. People said – ‘Bittu te Raja Gappi, Jittega Sada Pappi’.

During the roadshow, Chief Minister Mann addressed the people and said that I am the first Chief Minister of Punjab whom people call ‘Bai Ji’ (a term often used in Malwa for big brother). On the other hand, people used to call the earlier Chief Ministers by ‘Kaka Ji’ and ‘Raja Sahab’. This is the love of the people of Punjab towards me. Mann said that your love and support never lets me get tired. I cannot repay the debt of this love even in seven lives.

Appealing to the people, Mann said that we are making every possible effort for the development of Punjab. During the last two years, we have taken many historic decisions whose good results are in front of you. We need your support to work with the same enthusiasm in the future as well. This time, let the Aam Aadmi Party win by 13-0. All our MPs will raise their voice for the rights of Punjab in the Parliament and will recover every single penny of Punjab from the Centre and we will make Punjab ‘sone di chiri’ again.

Mann attacked PM Modi and said that in these elections we are asking for votes on the issues of school-hospital, electricity-water, farmers and employment and the work done by our government during the last two years. Whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi is asking for votes in the name of Muslims and Mangalsutra even after ruling for ten years, he has no work worth recounting. He wants to get votes by scaring people in the name of caste and religion.

During the speech, Mann attacked Sukhbir Badal and said that Sukh Vilas Hotel of Badal family is built with the blood and sweat of the people of Punjab. There is a pool in every room of that hotel. He said that we will take Sukh Vilas under the control of the Punjab government and convert it into a school. It will be the first school to have pools with every classroom.

Mann asked the people to pray for the bail of AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal so that tomorrow he can come out of jail. He said that with Arvind Kejriwal, we will campaign with double energy and win all our seats. Mann made the people raise slogans of ‘Jail ke taale tootenge, Kejriwal chhutenge’.

Addressing the people, AAP candidate from Ludhiana Ashok Parashar Pappi said that in the last two years, the Mann government has done many such works which the previous governments would have never even thought of. An example of this is the Road Safety Force. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has a big vision for the development of Punjab. Wherever he goes, Punjab is always on his mind. He said that Mann sahab himself mentions that he went to Dubai where he saw the concept of Road Safety Force and formed a similar force in Punjab to save the precious lives of the people.
