Chandigarh, January 1:
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu has issued appointment letters to 409 Pharmacy Officers (Pharmacist), who have been inducted on regular basis.
Mr. Sidhu stated that the above stated 409 candidates are part of 482 sanctioned posts of Pharmacy Officers to be appointed in the Department. These initiatives are being taken under the Ghar-GharRozgar Yojna of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh. He said that all these appointments have been made in a transparent manner and solely on merit basis.
He further added that these appointments will overcome the shortage of staff and hence will strengthen the medical services in Government Hospitals in Punjab. He stated that Punjab Government has been providing best facilities in Government hospitals with all the required medical equipment.
Mr. Balbir Sidhu congratulated the newly appointed staff by giving them New Year wishes and prompted them to perform their duty honestly and diligently. He expressed that they all must serve the people selflessly. Health Minister expounded that in the last three years approximately 7000 regulars and contractual recruitments were made in the Health Department as a part of CM’s Ghar Ghar Rozgar Scheme. These included Specialist doctors, Medical officers, Dental officers, paramedical and other staff on regular and contract basis.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Secretary Health Mr. Hussan Lal said that our country along with the whole world is suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic for last 10 months and during this time the selfless services of the health department staff has made it possible to effectively manage the situation in Punjab. He urged the new recruits to serve the department honestly.
On this occasion, Senior Congress leader Deepinder Singh Dhillon, OSD to Health Minister Dr.Balwinder Singh, Deputy Director Dr.Harinderpal Singh, Superintendent E-5, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, State Programme Officer (IEC & Media) Shivinder Sehdev, Mass Media Officer S. Gurmeet Singh Rana and other officers were also present.
