Aam Aadmi Party AAP’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday campaigned for AAP candidate Dr Rajkumar Chabbewal in Hoshiarpur. He held a massive roadshow with the AAP candidate and appealed to the people to press the ‘jharoo’ button on June 1 to make Dr Chabbewal win. Kejriwal told the people that the ‘jharoo’ button is at number five in the EVM. So press only the number five button on June 1.
Addressing the people, Kejriwal said that this election is to save the country’s democracy and constitution. This is an election to end dictatorship. He said that during the farmers’ movement in 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not allow the farmers of Punjab to enter Delhi. This time you press such a button that Modi is out of power in Delhi. In this election, you take revenge for the farmers’ agitation from Narendra Modi.
Kejriwal said that right after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, BJP got me arrested so that I could not campaign. They were afraid that if Kejriwal campaigns, BJP will suffer huge losses in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and many states of the country. But God heard my voice and released me from jail for 20 days to end the dictatorship of the BJP.
He said that the way you strengthened the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab by giving it 92 MLAs, similarly make us strong at the center by giving 13 MPs this time. Then no one will be able to stop Punjab’s funds and even the Governor will not be able to stop any bills of Punjab. Right now the central government has stopped about eight and a half thousand crore rupees of Punjab. Roads and other development works of Punjab villages were to be done with that money.
Kejriwal said that right now Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has to fight alone with the central government and the governor. When our 13 MPs win from Punjab, they will all become Bhagwant Mann’s hands and voice and will fight with the central government and the governor for the rights of Punjab along with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
He said that our government ended corruption in Punjab, due to which a lot of government money is being saved. With that money, we are giving free electricity to the people of Punjab. Today, 83 percent of the people of Punjab are getting zero electricity bills. Apart from this, we are building mohalla clinics at various places and improving the condition of government hospitals. We are also converting government schools into schools of eminence. Our government has given about 50,000 government jobs and made thousands of temporary employees permanent.
Kejriwal said that during the 2022 assembly elections, when we used to tell people that we will reduce your electricity bills to zero, people did not believe it, but we made it possible. This is happening only in two states of the country, Delhi and Punjab, and in both places, the Aam Aadmi Party is in power. All this is happening because our intentions are clear and we are working honestly.
Kejriwal said that the BJP is saying that give us 400 seats, Modi ji is going to do something big. When I inquired, I came to know that he is asking for 400 seats so that he can change the constitution of the country and will end the reservation given to the backward and scheduled castes by the constitution. He said that this has been the aim of the RSS and its associated organizations from the beginning.
Kejriwal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders have become extremely arrogant. Look at the state of their arrogance that their national spokesperson Sambit Patra says that Lord Jagannath is a devotee of Modi ji. Whereas Jagannath means Jagat ke Nath. That is, the one who does the welfare of the whole world. These people say that Modi Ji has brought Shri Ram. Just think, can any human being bring God to earth? God has created the whole universe, but now the BJP people have started thinking that Modi Ji has created the universe. Modi Ji himself is saying that he is an incarnation of God. So this time destroy their huge egos through your votes.
