• Out of total 184, 76 newly recruited employees got responsibility in first phase
Chandigarh, March 25:
Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary, on Thursday, handed over appointment letters to 76 employees recruited under the Nutrition Campaign of the department, here at Punjab Bhawan.
While congratulating newly-appointed employees, Mrs. Chaudhary exhorted them to discharge their duty diligently to implement the campaign at the grass root level for providing nutritious food to expected women and newborns.
“The department has started recruitment process for a total of 184 posts of Consultant, Project Associate, District Coordinator and Block Coordinator and today, in first phase, appointment letters have been given to 76 successful applicants including; 2 consultants, 2 Projects Associate, 14 District Coordinators and 58 Block Coordinators”, said the Cabinet Minister, adding that recruitment process of the remaining candidates would be completed soon.
Mrs. Chaudhary said that the state government has launched Nutrition campaign as a mass movement under which the schemes of the Departments of Health, Education, Rural Development and Water Supply etc. have been brought on a single platform to benefit pregnant women and newborn child so that malnutrition could be eradicated from the state.
The Cabinet Minister said that a training program to be organised for newly recruited employees so that they can be able to understand the working style and be competent to meet departmental targets. Among others who were present on the occasion included; Principal Secretary Social Security, Women and Child Development Raji P. Shrivastava, Director Vimmi Bhullar, Additional Director Lilly Chaudhary, Deputy Director Gurjinder Singh Maur, Deputy Director Rupinder Kaur, Deputy Director Sukhdeep Singh and State Project Co-ordinator Rajbir Singh.
