Patiala,November 29 .In a gruesome incident occured early this morning a 42 years old woman was murdered and her 13 years old son was injured seriously when some unidentified persons attacked them with sharp edged weapons in the Partap Nagar area on Sunday.According to the information available here family belonged to a serving army man, Sukhwinder Singh, who at present serving the army as deployed at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh and three of his family members including his 42 years old wife Jaswinder Kaur 13 years old Son, Harjot Singh and 17 years old daughter are living in the said house.As per information at the time of brutal attack Jaswinder Kaur and her 13 years old Son Harjot Singh were present in the house and her daughter was not there as she went last evening with one of her friends and at night time stayed there and just returned to her house in the morning. When 17 years old daughter of Sukhwinder Singh entered into her house then she found blood socked bodies of her mother and brother and as her brother was found alive so he was shifted to military hospital first but later seeing his serious condition he was shifted to a private hospital, where his condition was described as serious.Sukhwinder Singh’s daughter informed the police , friends and relatives about the incident and police party from Model town police Post under Civil Lines police station first to reach the spot and started preliminary investigation into the case even though higher police officials also visited the spot and took stock of the situation and started investigation in the case.It is learnt that Jaswinder Kaur received 10 cuts on her body of sharp edged weapons whereas his son received cuts on his neck and lower portion and as police it seemed that attack was conducted early in the morning and at that time Harjot Singh was sleeping.A case in this connection has been registered and dead body of Jaswinder Kaur was put up at mortuary of government Rajindra hospital here for postpartum purposes. Even police has also informed deceased Jaswinder Kaur’s husband army man Sukhwinder Singh about the incident.It is learnt here that in the absence of CCTV cameras in the area police primarily fail to get any evidence about the attack but still it has initiated an investigation into the case and hope to get an early break through into it. Besides other angle’s the police is tracing an old amenity angle behind this murderous attack too.
