Chandigarh August 14 : ADGP Intelligence Varinder Kumar and ADGP-cum-Director Punjab Police Academy Phillaur Anita Punj will be conferred with President’s police medal for distinguished service on the occasion of Independence Day 2020. In addition to this thirteen more police officers and officials have been selected for Police medals for meritorious services.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of Punjab Police said Kanwaldeep Singh Joint Director IVC & SU Vigilance Bureau Punjab, Hargobind Singh AIG Vigilance Bureau SAS Nagar and Kulwant Rai, SP PBI, OC & Narcotics, Sri Mukatsar Sahib would be awarded with Police medals for meritorious services.
He further informed that Inder Pal Singh Hothi Inspector Vigilance Bureau headquarter SAS Nagar, Lakwinder Singh Inspector provisioning wing Punjab, Chandigarh, Shiv Kumar Inspector, Incharge CIA Staff, Jalandhar Rural, Kamaljit Inspector 80th Battalion, PAP Jalandhar, Kuldeep Singh Sub-Inspector, PAP Armed Battalion Jalandhar, Jasvir Singh Sub-Inspector 7th Battaltion, PAP Jalandhar, Harbhajan Lal Sub-Insptector Operational Staff, Bathinda, Boota Singh ASI Recruit Training Centre, PAP Jalandhar, Sukhdev Singh ASI Police Control Room Technical Service Commissionerate Jalandhar and Harpal Singh ASI Special Branch Commissionerate Ludhiana have also been chosen for Police medals for meritorious services on the occasion of Independence Day 2020.

He further informed Swaran Singh ASI (LR) has been selected for Chief Minister’s Rakshak Padak. Besides this, others who are recipients of the Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty are Sandeep Goel, Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala, Balwant Kaur, Commandant 13th Battalion PAP, Sukhwinder Singh, DSP (PBI) Special Crime Moga, Jagdish Kumar, DSP (SD) Fazilka, Bupinder Singh, Inspector of Intelligence Wing, Inspector Baljit Singh In-charge CIA Barnala, Inspector (LR) In-charge CIA HQ Ferozepur Kaur Singh, Inspector (LR) Police Station Matour, S.A.S.Nagar Rajiv Kumar, Sub Inspector (LR) Intelligence Wing Sukhbir Singh and Inspector Neeraj Kumar 432/BR.
