Mansa,19 May 2021-The continuous efforts of the District Police & Administration to make the villages of the district corona free have brought fruitful results. SSP Mansa, Surendra Lamba, IPS told the press that under a special campaign about 200 village Sarpanchs, Panchs and others have started to impose ‘Self Lockdown’. He thanked the villagers for their co-operation and expressed hope that the rest of the villages in the district would follow the same pattern of lockdown restrictions and take the same steps to save humanity.
SSP Lamba told that the poor and under privileged COVID-19 patients can call the helpline numbers 181 and 112 to get cooked food by Punjab Police at their door steps. S.S.P. further said that the Punjab government is also distributing dry ration bags to corona patients at their door steps. Civil Administration, Police Department and Health Department have expressed their gratitude to the public for the co-operation. He said that a police officer has been deputed at every village who will assist & coordinate with Sarpanch of the village, Panchayat member, youth club member, RMP Doctor, Asha Worker, A.N.M to help Covid-19 patient. He said the villagers can contact the village police officer (VPO) for any type of help in the fight against Covid-19.
S.S.P. Mansa appealed to the people to co-operate in defeating this second movement of Covid-19, under which they should follow the health advice and not go out from their houses for any unnecessary activity. He said that the instructions of wearing masks inside and outside the house should be strictly followed. Reprimanding those who spread rumours about corona vaccine and health services, strict action will be taken against those who misuse social media platforms to mislead the public about vaccine and health services. FIRs will be registered against those who will be found in this rumours mongering.
