The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday dealt a major blow to the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and the Congress when former Akali Dal Sports Minister, a PAC member and a former NSUI and Youth Congress president joined AAP. Thanks to the joining of these leaders the Aam Aadmi Party got a big boost in the Lok Sabha elections.
Aam Aadmi Party Punjab President and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally inducted all the leaders into the ‘AAP’ family and welcomed them saying that with their joining the party will be even stronger in Sangrur and Faridkot. He said that people from every corner of Punjab are joining AAP, they want to work to make Punjab Rangla again. The leaders of all parties are impressed by the pro-people and pro-Punjab decisions of our government.
The Aam Aadmi Party also gave a big blow to Akali Dal (Badal) in Malerkotla. Former Akali Dal minister Nusrat Ali Khan Baga, who is a well-respected and popular leader, joined AAP. Many MCs and supporters of Nusrat Ali Khan Baga also joined the AAP with him. Nusrat Ali Khan Baga has served in the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) as a constituency in-charge and working committee member from Malerkotla. Apart from this, Beant Kinger joined the party (‘AAP’) after being impressed by the policies of the Aam Aadmi Party. Both Kinger and his wife have been MCs twice. On this occasion, MLA from Malerkotla Dr. Jamil ur Rehman was also present.
AAP got strength in Faridkot constituency when Shiromani Akali Dal PAC member Rajinder Das Rinku Samadhavala and 2-time NSUI president and former Youth Congress president Gursharan Singh Kabalwala, Babbu Ahuja former MC Congress, Manish Kumar Tiwari former District President Youth Congress, Manjit Singh Peeta Block President BC Wing and Gora Machaki (Akali Dal) joined the Aam Aadmi Party. MLA from Faridkot Gurdit Singh Sekhon was also present on this occasion.
At the same time, Jathedar Balwant Singh Nandgarh’s son-in-law and Dastar Federation president Bhai Pargat Singh Bhodipura, also joined AAP. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally inducted him into the party and welcomed him. Bhai Pargat Singh Bhodipura has been active in the religious field for a long time. He has good influence and reputation in Sikh panthak circles and organizations. Bhai Pargat Singh has also been the state chairman of Gatka Federation. He retired as Superintendent in Punjabi University, Patiala. He has been active as the Director of Adara Pahredar and President of Dastar Federation, Founder of International Gatka Academy Dama Sahib and member of many reputed organizations and trusts. Faridkot Constituency MLA Gurdit Singh Sekhon, AAP senior leader Jagdeep Singh Jaimalwala, Bhai Paramjit Singh Ganga President were also present on this occasion.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said in his statement that the Aam Aadmi Party is the party of common people. People of Punjab themselves are praising our work. People say that the AAP has done more work in 2 years than what previous governments did in 70 years. He said that impressed by our work, people of all sections of Punjab are joining the Aam Aadmi Party and contributing to make Punjab Rangla again. He said that the people of Punjab are very excited to make the Aam Aadmi Party victor once again.
