Chandigarh, May 6
UT reported nine more deaths and 759 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll has risen to 541 while the caseload has increased to 47,552. There are as many as 8420 active cases of the infection.
According to a media bulletin issued here, the people who died due to the pandemic were in the age group of 45 to 84 years.
Fresh cases have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 693 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
