Chandigarh, April 29
For the second day, Chandigarh on Thursday recorded eight deaths and 801 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll has risen to 465 and the caseload to 41923. There are as many as 6652 active cases of the infection.
According to a media bulletin issued here, eight patients with comorbidities succumbed to coronavirus today. Their age varied between 45 and 83 years. The deaths toll place in hospitals.
Fresh cases of the infection were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 447 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
