UT recorded 124 new cases of coronavirus and as many as eight deaths on Monday. The number of active infection cases has been put at 1767.
With this, the death toll has risen to 753 and the caseload has increased to 60,046.
According to media bulletins issued by the Administration, those who succumbed to the infection were aged between 35 and 85 years. New cases were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 483 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines
