SAS Nagar, March 09
Deputy Commissioner-cum- District Election Officer, Mrs. Aashika Jain said that the
74.94 percent work of linking Aadhaar card with voter card in the district has been completed. To complete the remaining task the BLOs would visit door to door on March 12.
The Deputy Commissioner said that according to the instructions of the Election Commission of India, a house-to-house survey is being conducted to link the data of all the voters recorded in the existing photo voter list with the Aadhaar data.
For the convenience of the voters BLOs would go door to door and collect Form No. 6B on March 12 to link voter cards with the Aadhaar cards.
The deputy commissioner further said that if a voter does not have an Aadhaar number or the voter is not able to provide Aadhaar number, then the concerned voter could submit a copy of any one of the 11 types of documents listed in Form No. 6B to the BLO.
Mrs. Jain said that the voters could also verify their Aadhaar number online on the Commission’s website
“nvsp.in” or “Voter Helpline” mobile app.
She also clarified that the voters could provide the details of the Aadhaar number on voluntary basis. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the voters that they should give maximum support to supervisors and BLOs in linking the Aadhaar card details so that the pending target can be completed on time.
