Chandigarh, May 24
UT logged seven more deaths and 245 fresh cases of coronavirus on Monday. The death toll in the city has now increased to 709 and the caseload has risen to 58,734. There are as many as 4426 active cases of infection.
According to media bulletins issued here, those who succumbed to the virus were between 56 and 76 years of age. The new cases of the pandemic have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 684 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
