Chandigarh, September 17
UT reported five more deaths and 288 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll has climbed to 106 and the nu ber of corona cases has risen to 9256.
According to a medical bulletin released by the UT Administration, an 81 year-old male r/o Sector 55, a case of Diabetes, Hypertension and CAD, tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Wednesday. A 57 year-old male r/o Sector 30, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Thursday. A 61-year-old male r/o Manimajra, tested COVID positive, expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali on Thursday. An 18-year old female r/o Sector 42, brought dead to GMSH-16 on Tuesday, tested COVID positive after death. A 48-year old female r/o Sector 28, a case of Sepsis and ARDS, tested COVID positive, expired at GMSH-16 on Thursday.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 379patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
