Chandigarh, April 22, 2021:Chandigarh reported 634 new COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday. Four deaths due to COVID were also reported in the last 24 hours. The city crossed ‘600’ mark consecutively for the fifth day.
As per the information released by the health department, UT Chandigarh, the total number of active cases in Chandigarh stands at 4,273.
In the last 24 hours, the department has tested 2,984 samples. As per the figure, 427 deaths have been reported in Chandigarh due to COVID-19 to date.
Likewise, the total number of patients who have tested positive to date stands at 36,404

COVID Death:-
- A 40 year old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 30, a case of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Acute Kidney Injury, expired at Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula.
- A 52 year old COVID positive Female R/o Sector 51, a case of Chronic Kidney Disease and Hypertension, expired at GMSH-16.
- A 70 year old COVID positive Male R/o Manimajra, a case of Chronic Kidney Disease and Hypertension, expired at PGIMER.
A 62 year old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 26, a case of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus and Severe Acute Respiratory Infections, expired at GMCH-32
