Chandigarh, November 23
UT reported three more deaths and 98 fresh cases of coronavirus on Monday. The death toll has now risen to 263 and caseload to 16,769. There are 1117 active cases of the pandemic.
The new cases have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the administration, a 36-year-old male R/o Sector 52, a case of Chronic Drug Abuse, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32. The second case related to a 40 year-old male R/o Sector 41, brought dead to GMCH 32, who tested COVID positive. The third is that of a 71-year-old female R/o Sector 38 west, a case of Diabetes, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32.
Meanwhile, a total of 72 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
