Chandigarh, November 21
Coronavirus claimed the lives of three more in UT on Saturday besides infecting 119 persons in during 24 hours. This has taken the death toll to 258 while the caseload has increased to 16, 591. There are as many as 1135 active cases now.
According to a medical bulletins issued by the administration, a 45-year-old female R/o Sector 29, a case of type 2 diabetes mellitus and acute kidney injury, who tested COVID positive, expired at City Hospital Chandigarh.
A 61-year-old male R/o Maloya, a case of acute kidney injury and liver disease with complications, who tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER. A 79-year-old female R/o Sector 34, who tested COVID positive, expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Details of the case are still awaited).
Meanwhile, a total of 102 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
Fresh cases of infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
