UT reported three more deaths due to coronavirus during the past 24 hours. Seventyfive more cases of the infection were reported during the same period.
With this, the death toll has risen to 284 while the caseload has increased to 17,717. There are as many as 981 active cases of the pandemic.
According to a medical bulletin released by the administration, a 76-year-old female R/o sector 30, a case of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive and expired at GMCH 32. The second case related to a 74 year-old male R/o sector Dhanas, a case of Hypertension, who tested COVID positive and expired at PGIMER. As regards the third death, a 65-year-old female R/o sector41, a case of accidental fall with head Injury with right Intracranial hemorrhage with hydrocephalus, tested Covid positive and expired at PGIMER.
New cases of the pandemic were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 173 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
