Chandigarh, April 15
Coronavirus claimed the lives of three more persons on Thursday while the city recorded 412 fresh cases of the infection during the past 24 hours. The death toll in Chandigarh now stands at 407 while the case load has climbed to 32397. There are as many as 3371 active cases.
According toa media bulletin issued here, a 73-year-old COVID positive Female R/o Sector 48, a case of Coronary Artery Disease and Septic Shock, expired at Shalby Hospital, Mohali. Another elderly patient, an 80-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 51, a case of Severe Acute Respiratory Infections expired at GMCH-32. The third fatality related to a 36-year-old COVID positive Female R/o Maloya, a case of Disseminated Abdominal Tuberculosis, who expired at GMSH-16.
The new cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, A total of 409 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines
