Chandigarh, December 8
UT recorded three more deaths and as many as 126 fresh cases of coronavirus on Tuesday. There are now 962 active cases in the city.
With this, the death toll has risen to 296 and caseload to 18,239.
A medical bulletin issued by the Administration said that an 84-year-old COVID positive male R/o Sector 37, a case of SARI and Hypertension expired at GMCH 32. The second case related to a 66-year-old COIVD positive female R/o Sector 50, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension who expired at GMCH 32. The third case was that of a 75-year-old COVID positive male R/o Sector 38 west, a case of Acute Respiratory illness with Hypoxia who expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
Fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 82 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
