Chandigarh, December 6
UT logged two more deaths and as many as 101 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll has increased to 291 and the caseload has climbed to 18,027. There are as many as 922 active cases of infection.
According to a medical bulletin issued here on Sunday by the Administration, a 65 year old female R/o Sector 49, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested Covid positive has expired at GMCH 32. The second case related to a 39 year-old male R/o Sector 52, a case of Pneumonia, who tested Covid positive and expired at GMSH 16.
Fresh cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 60 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
