Chandigarh, November 24
UT logged two more deaths and 79 new cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. The death toll due to the infection now stands at 265 while the caseload increased to 16, 848. There are 1128 active cases of the deadly disease.
According to a medical bulletin released here on Tuesday, a 50-year-old male R/o Sector 46, who tested covid positive, expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. (Details of co-morbidity are awaited). In the other case, a 70-year-old male R/o Sector 37, a case of Diabetes and Asthma, who tested covid positive, expired at Eden Hospital, Chandigarh.
Fresh cases of corona have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 66 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
